Family

I have to brag a bit about my kids. We have three boys they each have their own personalities and distinct hobbies. People often ask me, "Wouldn't you like to have girls instead of boys?" Well, now we can say we have a girl, a daughter-in-law! And a grand-daughter too!

Scott and I are really quite proud of the way our kids have turned out. I have listed here some of their hobbies they enjoy. Perhaps your kids are into the same things too.

Show at Andrews.

Eric is our oldest son, 26 years old and as you can see he is into biking. He currently works for a local fire extinguisher business traveling about the area. He has been into BMX style riding since he was very young. He is kind of a local hero to some of these kids.  He started out by building ramps in our back yard. Believe it or not it was approximately 48' x 60'. He paid for all the lumber himself and did all the work himself along with about 15 of his friends. He was also one of the main supporters of the new Miracle Skate Park built a few years ago in Norfolk.

Eric worked for 8 years for his good friend Jesse Vincent at Jesse's store, Andrews Bicycle and Fitness. Sadly Andrews closed this year but Eric was able to open his own store about the same time so things worked out well. He closed his store in 2009 but he treasures the experience and the friendships he made while operating it.

A few years ago Eric's boss Jesse Vincent from Andrews built an indoor park. Although it didn't wind up staying open it did give them the experience of running a business of their own.

Eric and a few of his friends also do BMX stunts and shows. They have traveled around the state and really impressed people with their skills. He knows a lot of the pros out there touring. We even had some of them to our house for a party a few years ago.

A few years ago Eric, Nathaniel and a bunch of their friends made a video of themselves performing on their bikes. Although it has a few naughty words in it, it really is quite neat to watch. They actually did all the filming themselves and edited it on the computer. The video is called Redneck Riders  and if you like to buy a copy of you can contact Eric at ecowbmx@gmail.com

They just finished working on their third video called Redneck Riders 3 which is also available either in VHS or DVD format.

His  good friend  Eric Freudenburg has a nice web site devoted to all their biking shenanigans.  Click here to see Eric Freudenburg's web site.

Eric is very dedicated to his sport. He has even built bike ramps for other people. This summer he has done some traveling with his stunt team Revolution Stunt Team. They have attended quite a few county fairs and promos around the Midwest.

Eric is married to his beautiful wife Larissa and have very cute daughter, Corinna Rose. They are also expecting a new baby in August!

Did you know that Johnny Carson bought a bike in this same location in the early eighties while filming his "Johnny Goes Home" TV special? At that time the bike shop was called Nelson Bike Shop which George Andrews later bought when Nelson's closed their store. George later sold his shop to Jesse Vincent whom Eric worked for.

Nathaniel is our second son, 22 years old!  He is really into computers and art.  He is quite a good violinist too.

Nathaniel is our little George Lucas. He is really into film making.  He spends countless hours setting up and shooting movies that he and his brothers and friends help to make. He first got inspired a few years ago when he saw Star Wars. You can often find him online chatting with people who work for Lucus Films and other movie making companies. You should see all the special software he uses when doing all the special effects for his movies.

He works as a freelancer doing videos of weddings and picture touchups. Recently he has worked on a couple of movies as a special effects supervisor. He also has done work for a production company in California. He currently has multiple projects in the works in California and Las Vegas.

Nathaniel did most of the filming and editing on Eric's three BMX movies. You can just tell he will be a director someday, (he always yells at his actors). In fact recently he did a film project at school and his teacher was so impressed he showed it to all his classes.  He also has helped with  movie projects in Sioux Falls the last couple of years.

Here is a sample of some of his work:

He loves playing with our dog Spud.

He loves doing stuff with his dad and all his friends.

He and his friends are always together getting into mischief. He loves playing on the computer and gardening. He also has become quite involved in his church Youth group. Just recently he has acquired an eye for photography.

My husband Scott is my biggest fan and supporter. He is the one who spent countless hours making this web site.

He has worked in the food business for over 25 years and currently works at HyVee East as a caterer.

He enjoys working on his computer (most recently on this web site), photography, history, and genealogy. Click here to see his Family Tree Web Page.
